New rumors suggest that Rockstar Games canceled Bully 2 for the third time in 2017 to focus on other big projects.
Besides Grand Theft Auto VI or Red Dead Redemption 3, which don’t seem impossible in the future, Rockstar Games fans always wanted a sequel to Bully, but they never heard anything official about the project except leaks and rumors. Now a new leak suggests that the game was canceled back in 2017.
Tez2 and Yan2295 insiders, who occasionally tend to reveal some details about the company’s plans, have confirmed this. In a recent statement, Tez2 said that preparations for Grand Theft Auto VI’s release began in 2015 and then slowed down in 2017 due to the large amount of work required for Red Dead Redemption 2 and Bully 2. The studio later decided to cancel Bully 2 and focus on Grand Theft Auto VI and Red Dead Redemption 2 a year before release in 2018. It’s worth noting that Yan2295 confirmed Tez2’s claim in comments on Reddit.
If this turns out to be true, it’s sad that Bully 2 was sacrificed. Apparently, the project was canceled in 2009 and 2013 due to similar problems.
As for the new Grand Theft Auto, it appears that an announcement may take place soon.
