Take-Two-CEO Strauss Zelnick is of the opinion that the GTA games are sold undervalue so far.
Could GTA 6 be considerably more expensive to release than previous games?
New York, USA – For years, GTA fans have been eagerly awaiting news about GTA 6, but Rockstar Games is silent and silent. Again and again, alleged leaks and rumors about the new GTA appear, but so far all of them have remained unconfirmed. Nevertheless, the fans don’t let up and keep on hoping for an upcoming release. But after an interview with Take-Two-Boss, the fans fear a crass GTA 6 price increase.
Will GTA 6 price raise?
There are leaks to GTA 6, such as a hyper-realistic trailer of GTA 6 in a retro setting. But like some news before, this trailer was also created by a fan. Although fans are bullying Rockstar Games on social media about when news about GTA 6 will finally be released, they haven’t received a satisfying answer so far.
Since the US election, there are now rumors circulating in the short news service Twitter that a release of GTA 6 could finally become reality because Donald Trump would soon no longer be president. Rock star boss Dan Houser already commented on this in 2018 and said that he would not release GTA 6 during Trump’s presidency.
Maybe that’s why fans might have to wait that long for news about the release. Some even assume that Grand Theft Auto 6 will never be released, but that GTA 5 will be re-released for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Now Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick has also joined in and clarifies some things.
The US election results is tomorrow. If Biden is elected, Rockstar Games can safely announce GTA 6 but the game may not be set in the present time. 2016 changed things. https://t.co/Mz717dtnGW #GTA6 pic.twitter.com/BKdppX86OZ

The CEO of Take-Two was recently asked by investors whether he could imagine publishing games like Grand Theft Auto as a free-to-play title. Strauss Zelnick replied that he already has the feeling that he is selling games like GTA or Red Dead Redemption below value. Zelnick argued that while gamers could buy the games for around $60 per game, the online modes would be completely free. In addition, the developers would “deliver the highest quality experiences in the business” and charge much less than they are actually worth.
GTA 6: will be released under the new US president Biden.
In addition, Rockstar and Take-Two would provide an ongoing and free component to each game, which would be completely optional for the developers. In response to the initial question, Zelnick said that he doesn’t want to rule out the possibility that certain experiences could be played for free at some point as an entry point.
However, he is more of a fan of “connected” free-to-play experiences. In these experiences, people know the value of the game one hundred percent and pay for it as well. Afterward, they have however a continuously free experience, which can last for years. After all, Grand Theft Auto Online has already been successful for seven years and will also set a new record this fiscal year.
It remains exciting and it remains to be seen if and when news of the release of GTA 6 will arrive. Perhaps we will actually hear about the release date on January 20, 2021, when Trump will officially no longer be president. Last but not least, an insider read details about the huge world of GTA 6.
